Hedge Walk in Co. Kildare

Celebrate Biodiversity Week with Hedgerows Ireland at a Hedge Walk in Co. Kildare. Join us in exploring the plants and animals that live in hedgerows, the benefits of hedge laying, and how this wonderful habitat can protect our land from drought and flooding. These will be farm hedges – so it is a great opportunity to see how hedge laying can be incorporated into farm management.

When? Saturday 20th May. The first walk starts at 11-1pm and the second at 2-4pm.
Where? Meet at Newtown, Co. Celbridge. Address and parking information will be shared with registered attendees before the event.

Please note that the walk will take place on uneven grassy terrain, so comfortable shoes and clothes are essential. Children are welcome if accompanied by a parent/guardian. Please note in the comment/message section how many accompanying children/adults will be attending.

Unfortunately, this event is not wheelchair-accessible. We will be going at a slow pace and if standing for extended periods of time is difficult, you are welcome to bring a foldable chair to use during our stops. We can help you carry the foldable chair in between. Please contact info@hedgerows.ie with any other queries regarding access needs.
