Celebrate Heritage Week with Westmeath County Council and Hedgerows Ireland at a Hedge Walk near Mullingar.
Explore the ecology of hedgerows with ecologist Billy Flynn, who is working on a survey of Hedgerows in the north of Co. Westmeath. Billy will also outline some of the results emerging from his survey work. Mark McDowell from Hedgerows Ireland will discuss hedgerow management including the traditional method of hedge laying.
This event is kindly being hosted by Farming for Nature Ambassador Ger Deegan.

Registration is not necessary – just arrive on the day!
